Another successful inspection was completed by our UAV team, specifically a roof inspection of the Bristol Homoeopathic Hospital with the aim of assessing the current state of the roof on this well presented building. Once the instruction had been received, the project team set about conducting an assessment of the potential flight in line with CAA requirements.
On deploying to the location, a full flight assessment was conducted to ensure that safety procedures were considered and that the area was suitable for this type of aerial inspection. Due to the position of the take off and landing zone, field equipment was required due to not being able to locate any vehicles close to the take off zone. This included portable control system and encased viewing ancillaries.
The use of a UAV system on this occasion meant that the client was able to save substantial fees and potential problems of alternatively erecting scaffolding for what could have been a relatively short duration roof inspection. The CTR Drone Services aerial survey team was able to complete the inspection within a short time frame on site and with no disruption to the building at all.
The final result was high definition video of the roof area complete with report and captured images of specific areas.
